Oh Victoria! You put all of us bag-lovers to shame. We were jealous when you went on tour as a Spice Girl. We were jealous when you married David Beckham. And we’re still green with envy because you’ve taken what most of us call a secret vice — collecting purses — and turned it into an art.
Missed the coverage of Victoria’s $2.5 million collection of Hermes Birkin bags? We doff our hats to this true bag lady whose collection comprises over 100 purses in this style.
Also, let us not forget who the original Birkin bag was named and created for: that loveliest of muses, Jane Birkin, herself. Whether she’s on a movie set, singing a song, or hanging out with one of her lovely daughters, Jane always looks like she’s got the glow of true happiness. Now, a smile like that is clearly worth about $2.5 million, no?
In tribute to both these amazing women, Jeanne Lottie has created its own homage to the iconic Hermes offering. We love our Hermes-inspired bag in orange. And so does LouLou Magazine. If you like what you see, you can check out LouLou’s online shopping guide or go to our Facebook Page for more photos.

New season means new wardrobe! Okay… maybe only in our dreams. But it’s always nice to window shop whether online or in person. We’re honoured to have been picked for Flare‘s Fall wardrobe round-up of 35 Must-Have Fall Bags, along with some other purses that are getting us all worked up for the new season!
Have a look, but remember: it’s most unlady-like to drool.

More Magazine’s September issue is on stands now. Check it out for a couple of featured Jeanne Lottie bags. One of our favourite colours of the seasons is Maple-Leaf Orange, that beautiful colour that leaves morph through as the seasons change. If you’re like us, and you just can’t get enough of that crazy shade, then you might want to look into our Hermes-inspired bag.

Our olive green floral clutch is featured in the latest issue of Wedding Bells. Talk about a fresh take on an old tradition! While none of the lovely ladies featured in this spread have entirely done away with wedding whites, it’s pretty refreshing to see some colourful details added to an otherwise stark palette. In our opinion, brides are like beautiful blooms anyways — delicate, fresh, and full of life. Why not bring it out with floral accessories?

Sometimes the weight of our choices forces us to keep our feet firmly planted on the ground in order to do everything that’s required of us. Be practical, they say. Do the responsible thing, they say. Well, we’ve found evidence that wonderful things in life can come out of turning that saying on its head.

Natsumi Hayashi, a Tokyo-based photographer, has built a portfolio of whimsical, inspiring photographs taken of herself levitating. She tells MSNBC about her reasoning behind her approach: “In Japan, we have the exact same idiom. But I am not a practical person at all. Therefore, I try not to have my feet on the ground in my self-portrait photos to show my true self.”
To Natsumi and all the other impractical, serendipitous and beautiful things in life that bring you true happiness: thank you.

Behind Jeanne Lottie’s Pink House is a well-kept secret that we’re unveiling to you today. …On a beautiful Thursday morning Jeanne Lottie and Bourjois Canada co-hosted a special event for press event in our Enchanted Tree-Top Deck. Luck was on our side, as clouds moved in but the weather held out for our special event. We invited more than 50 members of the press and our VIP customers to join us for delightful offerings of food that came courtesy of Pusateri. Matt was the lucky guy who served us decadent croissants, orange juice, cheeses, fresh fruit, and gourmet coffee. But of course, what French-themed gathering would be complete without macarons?
Cityline interviewed Jane Ip of Jeanne Lottie and Lisa Figuccio of Bourjois Paris about beauty and fashion trends for the upcoming seasons.
According to Jane Ip, colours keep going strong for Fall 2011. Orange is still very big, and prints take a leaf out of nature’s notebook: leopard, python and ostrich feathers are all the rage. Bags are more structured and those who like prim-and-proper will be pleased to know that lady-like is still in.
Both Jeanne Lottie and Bourjois Paris unveiled some new product offerings to the press. Jeanne Lottie offered up our crystal-studded teddy bear USB Flash Drives generated a lot of interest. Sweet that it doubles as a handbag charm! Lisa of Bourjois a number of great products, our favourite of which was their new spray-on bronzer called Délice de Soleil. We were so pleased to see the great turn-out. Chatelaine, Hello Magazine, Fashion, Zoomer, LouLou, Metro and so many other media reps came to share the food, take notes, and to mingle while Bourjois make-up artists in hot pink t-shirts gave everyone glowing natural touch ups.
 1. Leopard Print Day Bag, $250; 2. Délice de Soleil from Bourjois Paris, 3. Snakeskin Print Day Bag, $75; 4. USB Teddy $20; 5. Ostrich Feather Clutch, $65
Everyone walked away happily with the Jeanne Lottie’s new colour-changing tote brimful of Bourjois goodies inside! Thank you to all of those who made it out!
If you missed this one, or if you just can’t wait for another party on the Enchanted Tree-Top Deck, join us this September for our Luncheon Fashion Show. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and Twitter feed for more info!
