What do Jeanne Lottie and Eva Perón have in common? Both have a Pink House in their lives. La Casa Rosada, the Pink House in Buenos Aires, houses the offices of the Argentinian president. It’s from that very same balcony that Evita gave her famous speech that was later immortalized in musical form by Andrew Lloyd Weber. Come spring, Jeanne Lottie will have one more thing in common with the country. For our spring line, we’ll be bringing in bags of Argentinian leather.
The equestrian look is big this season. Buttery-soft leather. Minimalist design. Functional capacity. All in a bag of superb craftsmanship that will last for a very long time. Jeanne Lottie is thrilled about this collaboration.
True Happiness is….True Love, which never ends.
All styles are available online, at retails stores across Canada, and at the Pink House in Toronto.
Available in 4 styles (hobo, tote, travel, and director) and 3 colours (red, tobacco, and dark brown). Prices range from $180 – $300.
Coco Chanel — what a legend! Ask any designer at work in these times: it’s impossible not to feel the influence of Coco Chanel’s inspirational work. Jeanne Lottie loves Chanel too, especially the iconic Chanel chain she used to such great effect on her bags. The strap of intertwined leather and metal chain-links is strength and beauty all bound together! Out of all the pieces in our Spring/Summer 2010 collection, our favorite group is the bright-red patent handle and purple-blue totes with Chanel inspired chain details. Both are also available in classic black. At stores across Canada for under $100, they’re quite the steal.
True Happiness…is to be inspired by a true legend.
This a limited edition Jeanne Lottie design. Only 100 available in each colour.
Women these days know what they want. Most of the time, they know what they want in life, but they always know what they want in a purse: style, fun, and practicality! The grainy, motorcycle-leather look of Jeanne Lottie Spring/Summer 2010 collection has this to offer to ladies with a good eye for a great deal. Available in yellow, white, and black, the soft material has the feel and look of leather so genuine it’s hard to tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not.
After all, it’s a woman’s prerogative to keep some things to herself.
True Happiness is…the ability to compromise intelligently!
The Spring/Summer 2010 Motorcycle Leather group comes in 3 sizes, priced at $55 (clutch) and 85$ (hobo and tote with expandable features.)
Last year, Jane Ip, creator of Jeanne Lottie, started a painting class with her talented friend Alexandra Zeremski. Their first water and acrylic painting together was Basket of Joy.
The subject of this still-life is a purse from the Jeanne Lottie spring/summer 2010 collection whose natural hand-woven straw tote with fuchsia silk flowers is lined with a checkered pattern. ($50; also available in matching flowers.)
How wonderful would it be to go on a picnic with a bottle of wine, some delicious cheese and crackers, and to spend a day out somewhere where the sun is shinning, flowers are blooming, and birds are singing? Perhaps it’s still cold out there and it’s only end of January, but it doesn’t stop you from using your imagination. May this straw bag will bring you warm breezes, and a basket of joy to fill with beautiful moments that will happen this summer!
True Happiness means making life more fun by putting your unique stamp on the world. Did you know that since we started making bags in 1985 all Jeanne Lottie purses have included our trademark silver handbag pendant? Creative fans of our bags often use the removable pendant and chain as decoration on other handbags, or even as makeshift key-rings. The converted pendant/key-chains inspired us to offer more options to JL lovers. We’ve introduced a new line of lovely key-rings to keep your keys in one place. Add some purse-onality to your bag! Check out some of our new styles: black and gold crystal platform shoes and the mini double-handle bag.
Our perennial bestseller: the signature JL Diamond Solitaire. It’s been flying off the shelves since we first introduced it a few years back. The Diamond Solitaire key-ring comes with a mini pink handbag charm engraved with our name: Jeanne Lottie, Canada. Retails for 15$. It’s a great small gift item for anyone who’s ever wanted to show off who she really is, and what she really loves.
Here’s something to look forward to: Jeanne Lottie’s Spring 2010 handbag collection will be in stores across Canada starting mid-February. The Canadian designer wishes everyone a healthy, wealthy new year filled with joy, true love, and of course, True Happiness.
A new year means a fresh start, so we hope you’re looking forward to new opportunities and new adventures with an optimistic attitude. Our new spring collection reflects that same feeling with it’s bright, cheerful colours and it’s easy-going shape. The new Hobo Group’s 60s-inspired Yellow Daisy bag says it all. Also available in white, fuchsia, turquoise and black, it retails for $70. With a spacious top zip and back pocket, this bag’s sure to wake up your inner flower-child. So go ahead, shake off the heavy yoke of winter and take her out for a jaunt around the city!
The state of the economy made it quite a challenge to host another Pink Bedroom Party this year. Luckily, I simply adore a good challenge – it makes things far more interesting and rewarding, don’t you think?
Pink Bedroom Party 2009 was like a reunion of old friends, spiced up with fresh new blood! No economic doom and gloom here friends, only 600+ gloriously beautiful people, adoring positivity pink couture, generously giving to support our wonderful causes!!!! It’s all about spreading the L-O-V-E …
The night began with a speech by CFRB’s Bill Carroll, the MC for the evening. He jovially recounted how seven years ago, he met his wife, Sylvie, at the Pink Bedroom Party. Now, they are a picture-perfect family of four. How FABULOUS … I mean, can you imagine? Love connections AND giving to great causes. What could be better?
I wonder if Cupid’s bow struck again this year? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
Overall, I’d say this year’s event was a great success! Passionate people came together to give to worthy causes, at a party fused with positive energy! This year, we raised far more than money – we raised awareness, and created a community that supports SickKids and Princess Margaret hospital! Together, we made a difference!
So, the moral of the story is to NEVER give up in the face a challenge! Emails are still pouring in daily expressing how much everyone loved the event and how they’re really looking forward to Pink 2010! I always say that fabulousness rubs-off and this year, the proof is in the PARTY! AND, what’s the icing on the cake? We just had Chum FM radio confirm, they would love to sponsor Pink next year!!!
What goes around comes around. Oh YES, it’s definitely all about spreading the Love, creating connections, building communities that care … And never forgetting that True Love is … True Happiness!
Every day at the Pink House Boutique is fabulously glamorous! If we’re not creating the next big trend in fashion carry-alls, then we’re planning chic and stylish events and hobnobbing with visiting celebrities! Oh yes … The work of an Urban Glamazon is just never done (sigh).
This week, we were lucky to be able to spend some time with modeling superstar and timeless beauty Cheryl Tiegs! The ever-marvellous Ms. Tiegs is the spokesperson for our super-generous Pink Bedroom Party sponsor, Cambria, and she popped by our showroom to pick up a stunning little piece of hand-candy – the Jeanne Lottie Black Vintage Bead Framed Bag! I mean … What blonde doesn’t adore a sparkly little clutch to stash her lip gloss, c-cards and evening essentials???
As it turns out, Cheryl is beautiful inside and out! For her, “True Happiness is … Being kind without fail,” a philosophy that would serve everyone well to embrace.
This year, Cheryl and Cambria encourage everyone to attend the Pink Bedroom Party on October 1, 2009 – A Party to End Cancer! For only $55 in advance, you can spend the night with the city’s most stylish party people and feel good about giving to a worthy cause.
Hear it from Cheryl herself …

Last week I was fortunate enough to have been paid a visit by Gaelle, Cyri and their beautiful baby Juliette.
Visiting from the South of France, this glorious little family found us in a Toronto travel guide at their local library. You just can’t image how thrilled I was to discover that the Jeanne Lottie Pink House Boutique was the first store listed in our category! I mean, I’ve always known that the French have great taste, but “Ooh Lala!” what a compliment to be paid! It absolutely tops the Gâteau!
My charming French guests were kind enough to offer their perspective about my favourite subject: True Happiness! To this fabulous Francophone family True Happiness is: “Enjoying time with family and friends!” What a wonderful insight, non? No matter where I am in the world, I simply must take the time to stop and enjoy friends and family that reside locally. My agenda is never too full to fit in my loved ones’ company!
Gaelle and Cyri bought one of my favourite designs: the Casual Cross Body Unisex bag! Perfect for any globetrotter, the Casual Cross Body Unisex bag is the ideal piece of carry-on for any trip. Compact and convenient and yet surprisingly spacious, this bag ensures that all your important travel items can be safely stowed at your side, throughout all of your travels! Plus, it can double as a diaper bag for the — beyond cute — baby Juliette!
We said our good-byes and as a memento of our short but very sweet visit I gave them a charm… A little silver #3, representing the three members of their happy and beautiful family!
I asked them to make sure they visit the shop again, should they be back in Toronto in the near future. With coy smiles they replied: “But of course.”
True Happiness is … Something that Comes from Within You
I thought it a novel idea to probe some of the marvellous individuals that I interact with on a daily basis about what True Happiness means to them. This is the first post of what I hope will be an enjoyable and amusing series, which I’ve affectionately titled: True Happiness from the Neighbourhood. Enjoy!
Who: The ever-so-lovely Nancy Brown, our famous Parking Enforcement Officer.
Where: Street side in Yorkville, Toronto, Canada.
True Happiness … “Comes [From] Within Yourself.”
I must say, that this is absolutely and without question, the most wonderful piece of paper that I have ever received from a parking enforcement officer! LOL.
Actually, our local officer, Nancy Brown, really is quite lovely. She keeps our streets safe and free from parking violators, all while maintaining a superbly sunny disposition. This must largely be because she recognizes that, “True Happiness Comes from Within,” and I just couldn’t agree more!
Ever notice that the happiest people are those who exude a kind of inner joy? I believe this comes from a true and pure acceptance of who we are, as well as from our faith in knowing that we do indeed have a place in the world. Whether you happen to be a high-powered executive or a housewife, married or divorced, short or tall, we must remember that these are not the things that define us. We are all Fabulous, Unique, Creative, Beautiful, Wise, Fierce, Intuitive and Worthwhile Beings…
Whether we design handbags, or hand out parking tickets, we are a reflection of our inner light, and we are obligated to share our SPARKLE with the world! So, let that light shine by giving back to the community and supporting the causes that can make a difference … This year the Pink Bedroom Party continues to support The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute at The Princess Margaret Hospital (the recipient for the last 3 years). The event also supports SickKids Foundation for children with cancer. The goal this year is to raise $100,000. Come to the party , SPARKLE and SHINE and maybe find out for yourself what True Happiness is. - XOXO!
