It’s from that very same balcony that Evita gave her famous speech that was later immortalized in musical form by Andrew Lloyd Weber. Come spring, Jeanne Lottie will have one more thing in common with the country. For our spring line, we’ll be bringing in bags of Argentinian leather.

Coco Chanel — what a legend!  Ask any designer at work in these times: it’s impossible not to feel the influence of Coco Chanel’s inspirational work. Jeanne Lottie loves Chanel too, especially the iconic Chanel chain she used to such great effect on her bags. The strap of intertwined leather and metal chain-links is  strength and beauty all bound together! Last year, Jane Ip, creator of Jeanne Lottie, started a painting class with her talented friend Alexandra Zeremski.  Their first water and acrylic painting together was Basket of Joy.

The subject of this still-life is a purse from the Jeanne Lottie spring/summer 2010 collection whose natural hand-woven straw tote with fuchsia silk flowers is lined with a checkered pattern. ($50; also available in matching flowers.)

We Want It All!

By chance, I had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with Monica Graves of Glamjulz, a Toronto-based jewellery designer. We wanted to design a bag for the woman who wants it all: life, love, and fabulous accessories! So we put our heads together and came up with the We Want It All Bag. A bag that can be worn day-to-night, the soft pink bag comes paired with a necklace-and-earrings set that doubles as accessories for you, or for the bag.

Jeanne Lottie and Glamjulz created the We Want It All Bag exclusively to raise money for breast cancer through Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.

On Sat. June 13, 2009, around 6:00 pm during Luminato, the Pink Bedroom Party Team rocked Yorkville! Hosted by Jeanne Lottie, the Founder of the Pink Bedroom Party (www.pinkbedroomparty.com) led a parade of three professional Brazilian Samba dancers, musicians and models wearing Totem colourful flowing dresses, Jeanne Lottie fun bags and Havaianas flip flops, as they danced from the Pink House through the crowd on the busy streets of Yorkville to party co-host Clarins’ store, where they performed right out in front!

The group created lots of attention and cameras were everywhere capturing the exciting moments of the parade. The models and volunteers were handing out pamphlets for the Pink Bedroom Party 09, to be held on Oct 1 to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Research at Princess Margaret Hospital and kids with Cancer for the Sick Kids Hospital. The theme this year is: Party to end Cancer! Everyone is invited to host/attend a party to end Cancer. All parade guests were treated to Brazilian drinks, wine, sushi and appetizers from Caju at the back yard of the Pink House on Scollard and continued to dance with joy!
